The May 2020 nursing graduates of ��è����Ƶ-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences posted a 97 percent passage rate on the National Council of Licensure Examination (NCLEX), exceeding the current first time pass rate by nearly nine percentage points. Sixty-five out of 67 graduates passed the examination on their first attempt. The test is a 250 question, six- hour examination. Passage of the examination is required to become a licensed, registered nurse.

“Our students continue to put ��è����Ƶ-Rieman among the nation’s best,” said Brenda Beshears, PhD, RN, President/Chief Executive Officer. “This pass rate is particularly impressive with the challenges experienced from March 2020 through graduation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“��è����Ƶ-Rieman faculty and staff did a phenomenal job to ensure students could transition seamlessly from the face-to-face learning environment to a virtual, online experience,” she continued. “We strived to offer as much support as possible, both academically and financially. Students were receptive to the learning platforms and the support offered. They revealed both resilience and maturity as they completed their senior year amidst a global pandemic.”
